Job Title: Medical Device Production Specialist
Job Description
Join our team as a Medical Device Production Specialist, where you will be integral to the production of high-quality medical devices. This role primarily involves working in a cleanroom environment and includes the formulation of polymers, spray coating, and operating various machinery to ensure the production of medical devices meets specifications.
Responsibilities
Operate machinery to produce medical devices that meet specified standards.
Follow manufacturing instructions and accurately update job documentation for traceability.
Prepare products for packing and sterilization.
Inspect products using a microscope to ensure quality.
Set up coating machines and perform coating, inspection, and folding of balloon catheters.
Prepare excipient and spray coating formulations, test formulations, and package sterile and non-sterile finished or semi-finished goods.
Identify and replenish supplies as needed.
Build components necessary for top-level work orders.
Complete required cleaning activities to maintain a cleanroom environment.
Ensure all activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Essential Skills
Proficiency in English at a medium level.
Experience or willingness to work with microscope inspection.
1+ year experience in the medical device industry.
Comfortable working with chemicals and standing for the entire shift.
Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent education.
Familiarity with cleanroom gowning and degowning processes.
Experience in medical device assembly and formulation.
Experience in a pharmaceutical or aseptic environment is a plus.

Work Environment
The role is primarily based in a cleanroom environment. Employees will have two 30-minute breaks: one off the clock for lunch and one on the clock, replacing the usual two 10-minute breaks. The work involves standing for the entire shift and requires adherence to specific cleanroom protocols and gowning procedures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
