Job Description

Staff Accountant Full Time position in our Munhall branch 401K, Dental, Life, Medical, & Vision . Responsibilities may include:

• Process ACH totals daily including ACH exceptions and return items
• Review and process share draft exceptions
• Process and manage ACH Originations
• Serve as primary liaison between members and the Credit Union on issues involving share draft and ACH services
• Ensure compliance with share draft and ACH rules and regulations
• Processes Writs, Levies, IRS notices within regulatory requirements
• Process or assist in processing incoming or outgoing wire transfers
• Assist in operating the accounting department in accordance to required regulations, GAAP, and board approved policy and procedures
• Prepare general ledger accounts reconciliations as assigned. Research and resolve any exceptions noted
• Maintain accounting files, records, and reports in accordance with guiding procedures and regulations
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing
• Back-up and remain actively cross-trained for departmental work

• Requires at least three years of experience in a financial institution clerical, accounting, or related operational position. Associates or Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Requires professional, well-developed interpersonal skills necessary for communicating with vendors, members, and co-workers
• Fundamental knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Microsoft Office experience with proficiency in Excel and Word required
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Strong organizational skills
• Deadline and detailed oriented
