We have a new project called “The IRL Trial”, which will be a large high-quality scientific trial that tests if reductions in social media can reduce anxiety among teenagers, and affect other outcomes such as sleep, bullying, and time spent with friends and family. Some more information about the trial is available online: This will be the world’s first big trial examining the effects of social media on the mental health of teenagers, and has attracted substantial interest from the public, media, and government. We are looking for research assistants to help deliver this research. Main duties of the job Work on all aspects of the trial. Organise and liaise with schools. Organise sessions at schools where we enrol students into the research and collect data. Deliver research sessions with groups of teenagers. Manage study documentation such as consent forms.
