POSITION SUMMARY: As a Packing Line Worker, you will ensure that products are adequately packaged and prepared for shipment. You will work closely with other team members to ensure that production goals are met and that all products meet our high standards of quality. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operating and maintaining packaging machines, inspecting and selecting the product.
• Cleaning and organizing the packaging area.
• Checking the quality of the prepared products.
• Accommodating racks with the product at the beginning of the corresponding packing line.
• Placing the finished product on a conveyor, slicer machine, or bagger machine.
• Assess the quality and then select the finished product.
• Cleaning trays/molds/pans and arranging them on pallets for reuse.
• Place a packed product in pre-assembled and labeled boxes or plastic trays.
• Stacking boxes of products according to specifications.
• Transporting stacked products to the wrapping machine.
• Transporting wrapped pallets to the Shipping staging area for QA check and release to the Freezer.
• Maintain work area clean and organized.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLSET:

• Responsible for reporting any food safety issues to your supervisor or management staff in a timely manner.
• Should be familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and basic OSHA safety regulations.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to learn how to operate various machinery and equipment.
• Good communication skills to deliver valuable teamwork.
• Able to follow and execute instructions.
• Accurate, patient, careful, responsible, and quick and alert.
• Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The position requires physical activity such as reaching, bending, twisting, squatting, lifting 50 pounds or more, and standing for 8-12 hours daily.
