Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) within the Healthcare & Medical Services department. As part of a leading pediatric hospital recognized for comprehensive medical care, innovative research, and education, you will provide advanced practice care to critically ill and high-risk newborns and their families. In this role, you will perform comprehensive neonatal assessments, develop and implement evidence-based care plans, write orders, prescribe medications, and perform approved procedures under established protocols. You will collaborate closely with neonatologists, pediatric subspecialists, bedside nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, social workers, and other members of a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality, family-centered care in a fast-paced, technology-rich environment. You will monitor clinical status, interpret lab and imaging results, adjust therapies, and participate in daily rounds to optimize patient outcomes. You will educate and support families, explain diagnoses and treatment plans in clear and compassionate language, and help coordinate discharge planning and follow-up care.
