The Role: Investment Banking Associate As an Associate at BaseRock Partners, you will have an opportunity to work alongside our senior bankers, gaining significant hands‑on experience across the full spectrum of investment banking services. You will work on live M&A and ESOP transactions for clients across our core E&C sectors, including: Contractors Construction Materials Facility Services Engineering & Environmental Building Products Utility Services This is a unique opportunity to develop a robust financial skillset in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and receive direct mentorship from seasoned industry leaders. Key Responsibilities Financial Analysis & Modeling: Build and maintain detailed financial models to support valuation and transaction structuring, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company, precedent transaction, and leveraged buyout (LBO) analyses. Presentation & Marketing Materials: Prepare and draft client deliverables such as pitch books, confidential information memorandums (CIMs), and other marketing materials to support M&A and capital‑raising assignments, as well as BaseRock business development efforts. Industry & Company Research: Conduct in‑depth industry research and company‑specific analysis across sub‑sectors of the E&C landscape, providing insights to inform valuation, marketing, and transaction execution. Transaction Execution: Participate in all aspects of live deal execution, including process management, due diligence support, and the preparation of analyses and client deliverables. What We Look For 2+ years of experience as an Investment Banking Analyst or Associate at an established Investment Bank, with live transaction experience. Strong academic record with a minimum GPA of 3.5. Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving skills, with proven financial modeling capabilities. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to perform under pressure. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a lean, collaborative, and fast‑paced team environment.
