Our firm is looking to add a seasoned Attorney to our dynamic team. This opportunity will allow you to showcase your expertise in workers' compensation defense, legal writing, and civil litigation. As an Attorney, you will be involved in a broad range of legal activities, including advising clients, representing them in court, and preparing legal documents. You will also have the chance to influence the firm's legal strategies and contribute to its growth and success. This role is perfect for a committed, tenacious, and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about the legal industry and has a minimum of 5 years of experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and administrative hearings.
2. Provide legal advice to clients regarding workers' compensation defense and civil litigation.
3. Prepare and draft various legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
4. Conduct thorough case analysis and develop effective litigation strategies.
5. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
6. Conduct legal research and analysis to stay abreast of changes and updates in the law.
7. Collaborate with other attorneys in the firm to ensure the best representation for clients.
8. Maintain client relationships and manage client expectations effectively.
9. Adhere to ethical and legal standards as outlined by the bar association.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney, specifically in workers' compensation defense and civil litigation.
3. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
4. Demonstrated proficiency in legal writing and research.
5. Proven track record of successfully representing clients in court.
6. Excellent negotiation skills.
7. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Ability to manage multiple cases and projects simultaneously, with strong organizational skills.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. Proficiency in legal research software and other relevant computer applications.
11. High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas.
12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
