Job Description

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior US Accountant - REMOTE. This role is crucial within the Finance Department as it ensures the integrity and accuracy of financial records. The successful candidate will manage a variety of accounting responsibilities, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and data analysis. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, this position contributes to budgeting support, compliance adherence, and overall financial improvement. The ideal candidate will uphold GAAP standards while embracing continuous improvement in financial processes.

Accountabilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries and reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Conduct regular analysis of financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes by providing insights to management.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable transactions, including payment processing.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Participate in internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
  • Prepare client invoices accurately and maintain organized invoice records.
  • Process payroll using Gusto Payroll and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.
  • Prepare and record monthly accruals for U.S. federal and state taxes.
  • Lead month-end close activities to ensure financial result accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, with at least 3 years in U.S. Accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Commitment to ethical practices and regulatory compliance.
