We are looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to join our team! 

Key Responsibilities

Payroll & Benefits Administration

• Manage weekly payroll processing, including printing and reviewing timesheets and entering data into QuickBooks .
• Ensure timely payment of payroll taxes, garnishments, and 401A/credit union contributions.
• Oversee Union compliance by processing monthly fringe and dues payments and updating yearly wages and fringes in QuickBooks..
• Process unemployment claims through INDWD .

Accounts Receivable & Collections

• Conduct weekly follow-ups on past due accounts and review disputed invoices.
• Identify and process necessary credits or write-offs.
• Post daily payments from checks, ACH, and credit cards to customer invoices.

Banking & Cash Management

• Perform daily check deposits and monitor security items within banking platforms.
• Reconcile monthly bank statements and MMA accounts, including interest entries and merchant service fees.
• Manage daily ACH payment tracking

Financial Reporting & Tax Compliance

• Execute month-end close procedures, including General Ledger reviews for posting accuracy and anomalies.
• File sales tax returns and payments via the INTIME website.
• Manage State, County, and Federal tax obligations
• Coordinate with CPA firms for quarterly and yearly closes
• Post adjusting journal entries (AJE) and provide revised financials and sales spreadsheets to leadership.
• Prepare and print yearly 1099s and W2s .

Miscellaneous & Administrative

• Support insurance claims processing and audit requests.
• Manage fleet-related administrative tasks, including vehicle list updates and registration renewals.
• Liaison for unions and BCRC
