We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Senior Sales Representative to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the customer journey, from initial contact to project completion.

SUMMARY

 

Solarponics is seeking full-time Level 3 Sales Representative (Sales Rep).

 

The senoir sales representatives serve as a point of contact between a company and their prospects or clients. They have a wide range of duties that include identifying and advising prospective clients while supporting existing customers with information and assistance related to the company's products and services. The senoir sales rep reports directly to the sales manager.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• A sales rep’s primary responsibility is to drive revenue by finding and connecting potential customers with solutions, ultimately closing deals and building lasting relationships. This is done with a variety of outbound and inbound lead generating activities.

• Serve the needs of customers, close deals, generate revenue, and set the customer up for future sales. This is accomplished via prompt follow up with assigned leads, gathering client information, creating and presenting a proposal, closing the deal, and following up on future sales opportunities.

• The Sales rep is responsible for customer experience management from lead assignment thru job completion.

• Outbound lead generation activities to meet revenue goals, including but not limited to: calling, canvassing, networking, trade show attendance, community outreach and engagement.

• Outbound customer calling, tracking and follow-up for revived cold leads.

• Outbound customer calling, email, and mailers to inform current customers of other product solutions, rebates, and opportunities.

• Thorough knowledge of company products and services and ability to explain the company to potential clients.

• Identify and address client objectives.

• Generate and present proposals to clients.

• Present cross-sell products to customers.

• Follow-up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.

• Compile and generate spreadsheets, presentations, and summary reports of all activities.

• Be available in the office when not on a sales appointment to make calls and field new lead inquiries.

• Ongoing client communication throughout the process

• collection of project deposit payments, as well as collection of final payment.

• Delivery of final docs in person, review of system, ask for a referral

• Data entry, tracking, notifications, tasks, appointments, calls, as required.

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in marketing events such as mixers, trade shows, and events.

• Generate new job opportunities through Solarponics referral program.

• Assist the production department with customer issues as they arise.

• Create and assist with change orders, as needed.

• Create a positive customer experience that leads to positive referrals and reviews.

• Additional customer service and sales tasks as assigned.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Must have at least three years of solar energy sales experience.

• Must have good knowledge of financing options, including PPA and PPL finance structures.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to persuade and influence others.

• Ability to generate and present reports and presentations.

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM software.

• High school diploma or equivalent. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.

• Maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image to the public.

• Possession of a valid state driver's license. Work requires local travel.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that will include some nights and weekends.

• Use of personal vehicle is expected with mileage reimbursement.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work requires significant local commuting. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be comfortable using a ladder. Some neighborhood walking may be required. Sales reps are expected to be in the office when not meeting with customers.
