The Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for the administration, configuration, support, and ongoing optimization of Salesforce (Force.com) applications used across the organization. The role requires close collaboration with business users, IT teams, and vendors to ensure Salesforce effectively supports business processes, reporting, and integrations within NYSERDA's broader technology ecosystem.
Administer, configure, and maintain Salesforce (Force.com) environments including users, profiles, roles, permissions, workflows, validation rules, and approval processes.
Gather business requirements and translate them into Salesforce solutions using declarative tools (Flows, Process Builder, Lightning App Builder).
Manage Salesforce data including data imports, exports, data quality, validation, and governance.
Create and maintain reports and dashboards to support operational and management reporting needs.
Provide day-to-day user support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution related to Salesforce applications.
Coordinate Salesforce releases, sandbox management, testing, and deployments.
Work closely with cross-functional teams using tools such as Jira and Confluence for service desk tickets, enhancements, and documentation.
Support integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems as applicable (Microsoft technologies, SQL Server, SharePoint Online, Tableau, Oracle PeopleSoft Financials).
Ensure system security, compliance, and best practices are followed.
Prepare and maintain system documentation, user guides, and process documentation.
Hands-on experience administering Salesforce (Force.com), preferably in a complex enterprise environment.
Strong understanding of Salesforce configuration, security model, reporting, dashboards, and automation tools.
Experience working with Microsoft technologies such as Windows, SQL Server, .NET, Azure Cloud, and Office 365 (SharePoint Online).
Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau.
Experience using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) for service management and documentation.
Ability to work with business stakeholders to analyze processes and recommend system improvements.
