Bunkhouse Hotel Daphne, Houston, TX – Food and Beverage – Full-time – Yearly US Dollar pay. Summary The Opportunity: HYPSI & BAR DAPHNE seeks a passionate Restaurant General Manager to join the team. This role collaborates closely with the broader Hotel Daphne operations team, reporting to the Executive Chef, overseeing daily operations and special events. The Manager is part of a team that celebrates creativity and delivers exceptional guest experiences. Who We Are: Hypsi and Bar Daphne, signature offerings at the new Hotel Daphne, located in the heart of Houston Heights, is building a passionate, hospitality‑driven team. The GM reports to the Executive Chef and Hotel General Manager, supported by Bunkhouse corporate F&B leadership. The position requires excellent communication, conflict resolution, and understanding of Bunkhouse policies. Leaders develop and maintain company culture, values, and reputation with staff, guests, vendors, and partners. Key Responsibilities Short‑ and long‑term planning and management of front and back of house operations Develop high standards of service, presentation, and cleanliness Recruit, select, hire, train, empower, coach, counsel, and conduct performance and salary reviews for staff Implement payroll, reports, forecasts, inventory and budgeting for food and beverage operations Coordinate operations with other hotel departments for efficient guest service Resolve customer complaints to maintain high satisfaction and quality Implement procedures to increase guest and associate satisfaction Exercise quality control for food and beverage Maintain and apply Bunkhouse/Hyatt service standards Perform daily walk‑throughs to ensure compliance with Department of Health regulations and Hyatt Corporate standards Maintain communication with corporate staff, coach and counsel employees to reflect service standards Train and lead monthly inventory process in partnership with finance department Based upon fluctuating demands of the operation and to exceed customer expectations, this role may require performing a multitude of functions. The person may be expected to perform other tasks and duties as needed or as directed. Responsibilities and job descriptions are subject to review and revision. Qualifications Experience Required Leadership in an upscale restaurant, 5+ years of managing and leading a team Strong knowledge of food, beverage, and service standards Private and small event execution Menu engineering and cost evaluation POS programming and maintenance Payroll and tip handling experience Ability to navigate all food and beverage areas and consistently perform essential job functions Proficiency in moderately complex computer systems Ability to assess product quality through smell, taste, and appearance Serve Safe or similar food safety certification Experience Preferred Boutique or Luxury Hotel restaurant experience Dining & Beverage programming such as holiday planning, DJ booking, marketing support Toast POS proficiency Evention and UKG or similar payroll system use Wine certificate such as WSET or similar All qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status. #J-18808-Ljbffr Hyatt Hotels Corporation
