StoneSprings Hospital Center, part of the HCA Virginia Health System, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse for our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in a part-time role. As a NICU RN, you will provide specialized, evidence-based nursing care to premature and critically ill newborns, working closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes neonatologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other specialists. You will be responsible for continuously assessing neonates’ conditions, administering medications and treatments, managing ventilators and other advanced equipment, monitoring vital signs and lab values, and promptly responding to changes in patient status. In this position, you will support and educate parents and families, helping them understand their infant’s condition, treatments, and care plans while promoting bonding and involvement in care whenever possible. You will document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record, follow all clinical protocols and infection prevention standards, and participate in care conferences and interdisciplinary rounds. You will also play an active role in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety efforts, and ongoing professional education. Part-time scheduling options may include a combination of day, evening, night, and weekend shifts to meet patient care needs while providing work–life balance.
