Job Description

Position Summary / Department Summary:

The Clinical Nutrition team at Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking passionate Registered Dietitians to join our inpatient and outpatient teams. Current opportunities are available in per-diem, part-time, and full-time schedules.
  • 40-hour positions are eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus

  • Position schedules range from 20–40 hours per week

  • Current openings include:

    • Inpatient: General Inpatient (Boston)

    • Outpatient: Adolescent/ARFID (Boston & Waltham) and Open Clinic (Needham)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nutritional care to patients in assigned inpatient and/or outpatient settings.

  • Evaluate medical, biochemical, and nutritional information to assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.

  • Implement and monitor nutrition care plans to optimize patient outcomes.

  • Assist in supervising the daily work of dietetic technicians.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition required.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in Dietetics, with 2+ years in pediatric nutrition preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills to resolve complex problems using scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and in-depth, experience-based knowledge.

  • Effective communication and writing skills to manage complex discussions, conflicting views, and provide clear documentation.

  • Spanish language skills a plus.

Licensure / Certifications:

  • Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian.

  • Licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Licensed Dietitian.

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
