Medical Clinical Assistant

We are seeking a Medical Clinical Assistant, also referred to as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Allied Health Professional. The Medical Clinical Assistant will support physicians by helping with patient care, clerical responsibilities, and maintaining an organized clinical environment. The Medical Clinical Assistant will also document patient history and visit details in the electronic medical record, providing helpful information to patients, and promotes a professional, positive image of the clinic. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed.

Responsibilities

Certified Medical Assistants (CMA), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Allied Health Professionals, medical or dental students, or other individuals with appropriate medical knowledge are encouraged to apply!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Assist physicians with patient care, clerical duties, environmental support, and daily organization of the clinic
• Accurately enter chief complaint, medical and surgical history, allergies, medications, and social and family history into the electronic medical record
• Help maintain an organized, clean, and efficient clinical environment for patients and staff
• Provide patients with helpful information so they can fully understand and benefit from clinic services
• Promote a positive and professional image of the organization through excellent service and communication

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required upon hire and maintained current

Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Must be familiar with and willing to learn medical terminology
• Must be able to type
• Must protect patient confidentiality

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

• Prefer prior experience in a medical setting
• Can be CMA, CNA, Allied Health Professional, Medical or Dental students or other qualified individuals with appropriate medical knowledge to perform stated tasks
