Logistics Compliance Specialist (Direct Hire | Hybrid

Location: Farmington, CT (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

Hours: 8am - 4:30pm

Salary: $78,000 – $100,000 based on experience

Position Overview

KELLY is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Logistics Compliance Specialist to support and strengthen import/export compliance across our global logistics operations. This role is critical in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements while mitigating operational and reputational risk. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement import/export compliance policies and procedures
• Audit and maintain SOPs aligned with U.S. Customs, EAR, and ITAR regulations
• Lead and support compliance audits and continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage and support CTPAT programs and validations
• Ensure proper documentation for export-controlled shipments
• Identify risks, investigate issues, and drive corrective actions
• Analyze and apply Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications
• Train and support internal teams on compliance standards
• Partner cross-functionally with logistics, procurement, and operations teams

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in supply chain compliance and import/export operations
• Experience in manufacturing or global shipping environments preferred
• Strong knowledge of CTPAT, EAR, ITAR, and U.S. Customs regulations
• Working knowledge of the Harmonized Tariff System (HTS)
• Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); SAP experience preferred
• Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills

Education

• High School Diploma required
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred
