Able to install and repair locks, latches, door closers, duplicates keys and install bucks, hinges doors. Clean area, equipment and tools and stores them properly. Completes work assignments thoroughly and in a timely manner. Notifies supervisor of locksmith supplies needed to keep jobs going without interruption. Completes annual in-service. Instructs locksmith in simpler locksmith related duties. Maintain inventory of locks and key blanks. Repairs and installs locks, door checks, performs fire / smoke door inspection. Perform related P.M. May assist in other trades as required by the department. Maintains current fire safety card. Performs all other duties as required. Position Requirements: This position requires a minimum formal education of High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years job-related experience. Desired (not required) criteria include: Minimum of 5 years job-related experience or related trade school.
