Job Description
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Informatica ETL Support Engineer to join a global support team. This role will primarily support Informatica PowerCenter environments with incident, problem, and change management responsibilities. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chennai team and may be required onsite occasionally. This posting is being prepared before formal onboarding; immediate candidate referrals are welcome.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide day-to-day support for Informatica PowerCenter environments, including incident and problem management.
• Participate in change management activities for Informatica-related projects.
• Perform platform and server administration tasks as needed (login to servers, monitor processes, review drivers).
• Assist with installations and configuration of Informatica components on desktops and servers.
• Communicate and coordinate with cross-functional teams (web operations, middleware, storage/servers, etc.).
• Provide on-call support on a rotating basis (approximately once every three weeks, including occasional weekend coverage).
• Support troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and documentation of issues and resolutions.
Required Skills & Experience
• Hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter support and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with Informatica architecture and core components.
• Ability to install and configure Informatica components on user desktops and servers.
• Basic server/platform administration skills (ability to log in to servers, inspect processes, understand driver usage).
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills; able to coordinate with multiple infrastructure teams.
• Prior experience in incident, problem and change management processes.
• Availability to come onsite occasionally (candidate may be fully remote day-to-day but must be able to travel onsite as needed).
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
• Experience with Informatica MDM (Master Data Management).
• Exposure to SAP integrations using Informatica PowerCenter or understanding of SAP data flows and workflows.
• Prior experience supporting large enterprise ETL/data movement projects.
