Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position. - Advanced skills in Microsoft 365 including: Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.
- Experience in customer service and with troubleshooting needs.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Previous experience in an administrative office environment.
- Experience drafting and creating procedural documentation.
- Must be a current Texas State Employee
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Texas State University Systems such as People Admin, SAP, Concur, and/or HireRight.
- Experience managing a student wage budget.
- Understanding of University Policies and Procedures.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative, results-oriented environment.
- Supervisory experience.
Job Description Texas State University Libraries is seeking an Administrative Assistant III. This position provides administrative and clerical support for University Libraries Administrative Services. The position supports entry-level personnel support, student employment, travel, mail, facilities, and office operations while following established university procedures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, processing student hiring and separation actions, maintaining student wage and work-study records, and serving as back-up support for travel, facilities, and technology service requests. The role also assists with training, records management, supply monitoring, and customer service for library staff and patrons.
Job Duties - Complete routine new hire and employee separation tasks for student employees and other non-high level staff personnel actions.
- Maintain spreadsheets and records related to student wages and funding balances.
- Provide front-line administrative support for University Libraries Administrative Services, answering phones and email, scheduling, and general office coordination.
- Serve as back-up for travel and facilities tickets and needs.
- Plan and participate in professional development activities.
- Complete and assist with special projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
