ACE: CanCode Communities - Employer Engagement Coordinator
The Center for Academic Community Engagement at Siena University (ACE) recruits candidates from around the United States to serve with community-based organizations that work to alleviate poverty in the Capital District. You will have the opportunity to work on capacity-building projects in education, health care, the environment, housing, criminal justice, and/or economic development. You will make an impact with a non-profit organization and the Capital Region by coordinating volunteer-led projects, conducting research, writing grants, and facilitating outreach. Based on your skills and interests, you will be matched with an organization for the year. You will be managed on-site by a supervisor, mentored by 2 VISTA Leaders, and trained by an experienced VISTA team. You will attend a Pre-Service Orientation, an On-Site Orientation, and ongoing training for your personal and professional growth. Additionally, our cohort model provides community and support to help you make the most of your service year experience. We are celebrating fifteen years of success and have had over 200 VISTAs complete the program. Become an ACE AmeriCorps VISTA Member and be a part of something bigger than yourself! Member Duties : The VISTA will build the capacity of CanCode Communities through the following activities: Create and implement engagement strategies, including regular communication channels and networking opportunities. Research and identify new community partners and stakeholders to support program expansion; maintain relationships with schools and organizations to support recruitment and program delivery. Analyze program data to inform decision-making, programmatic improvements, and identify trends for growth. Develop recruitment strategies to reach underrepresented communities and promote program participation. Coordinate logistics for program events, including orientations, training sessions, and community engagement activities. Develop and maintain program manuals, training materials, and evaluation tools. Coordinate the recruitment, training, and supervision of program volunteers and interns. Contribute to ongoing program planning and development efforts.
